Coordinación RJM Continental, 28 de abril 2026
From May 4 to 8, the International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) will take place, a key global space for following up on the Global Compact for Migration.
As the Jesuit Network with Migrants (RJM), we will be represented by Harrison Hanvey, Sarah Lockhart, and Natalia Betancourt. Our participation is part of an advocacy process that we have been sustaining since 2022, strengthened through a series of meaningful collaborations.

We have sought to consolidate collaborative work with various civil society and church networks across the continent, including Red Clamor, ACT Alliance, Alianza Américas, and the Latin American Bloc, among others.
Together, we will bring forward messages at the forum that emphasize the need to prevent regression in rights, ensure effective protection for all people regardless of migration status, and promote the meaningful participation of migrants in the initiatives and decisions that affect them.
Narratives to challenge…
We are well aware that in these spaces many governments present positions that do not always reflect what is happening on the ground. For this reason, RJM will continue striving to make visible the realities identified by our works in their daily accompaniment of migrants and refugees throughout the continent.
In addition, in the IMRF, we will follow developments and positions in key processes such as Cartagena +40, which will be important for the discernment that we are undertaking regarding the paths to advance our advocacy in relation to the action plan agreed upon by governments.
We are grateful to all the people and organizations who have shared contextual inputs to enrich this participation. We will keep you informed.
We will continue raising our voice for migration that is accompanied, dignified, informed, and protected, grounded in the horizon that comes from being and acting as a network.
